Ideation is the heart of innovation and the first step for translating users’ insights and visions into action. It’s not simply a matter of putting the right people in a room with a bunch of post-its and waiting until someone has the most exciting idea…it is hard work!
In this course you will learn how to prepare and conduct ideation sessions, starting from users’ insights and data, as well as prioritise your results into an actionable roadmap, while having fun.
- You will learn how to effectively involve teams or stakeholders into co-creative sessions using visuals.
- You’ll have the opportunity to test some of the best tools designed by and used in the most successful companies and universities of the world.
- At the end of the day you will be equipped with a toolkit of essential methods and tools and be ready to generate desirable, viable and feasible ideas!
There is no limitation in the role, age, and experience for ideation! This course is for you if you’re working on product management and development, you are UX/UI design beginner, but also for people working in business management, strategy, communication, marketing. The course is suitable for all those people hungry to learn tools and methodologies to generate new ideas, user-centered products and to improve your business, product or service.
A notebook is not required (unless you want to take notes). During the day refreshments and some snacks will be provided, as will the opportunity to have lunch together in the building.

Why, When, and How to Ideate
An introduction about the motivations and the value of ideation, discovering the right moments to ideate within different phases of business and product development. You will discover the best frameworks and methods and how you can prepare yourself and your team to generate user-centered solutions.
Ideate for Business and Services
You will have answers to typical strategic questions like: „How to generate solutions for your business that are fitting the market and users’ needs? How to innovate an existing business model to serve new clients? Or improve the old one to satisfy new needs?“. You’ll try by yourself some of the tools and play around with business and service models.

Ideate for User-Centered and Innovative Products and UX
We will discover some of the most effective, interactive and highly engaging ideation methods to use alone or in teams. It will be all about trying out tools, diverging generating a lot of ideas and then converging towards the best solutions and make them actionable.
From Ideas to Actions
What do you do with a bunch of ideas and how do you put them into a roadmap? Ideas are nothing if you don’t share and visualize them, and the solutions will not be valuable for your business if they are undesirable to users, infeasible, or financially unsustainable. We will end our course with an overview of some frameworks and methods to make decisions and prioritise ideas.

Marta Andreoni is a senior UX Designer and Design Chapter Lead within the PUX team, the Product and UX experts within the TX Markets competence center supporting some of the main Tamedia’s companies as Ricardo, tutti.ch, Homegate, Car For You and the publishing media. More than 10 years of experience in Service Design, UX, Branding and Communication consultancy between Italy and Switzerland. Passionate about design thinking methods and tools for product, service and business innovation, she has conducted workshops and co-creation sessions for companies and NGOs in different sectors as a facilitator.
